Hi, I’m Kelly! Join me on my mission to change the world through self-care and a personal commitment to growth.

I began teaching yoga full time early in my 20’s. The more I witnessed the lives change of those around me, the more I developed a passion for helping people achieve their potential both spiritually and physically. This passion led me to continue my studies and research with the intention to give more.
Having achieved a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine, a Bachelor’s degree in public health and a Bachelor’s degree in fine art, I consider myself a lifelong student. I’ve spent time studying medicine at China Medical University in Taiwan and also with various practitioners in Florida and North Carolina. It is my life’s mission to help, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this path.
Outside of clinic & office hours, I can be found practicing yoga, rock climbing, hiking & exploring nature. I love adventures and finding new ways understand nature and humanity. I am an experienced yoga teacher of 15 years who still practices daily! If you’d like to know more about me personally, find my instagram page: @kellyabailey.

I have worn many, many hats over the years. I started my career as a photojournalist in Florida, and then went back to school for my masters degree in communications and marketing.
Since then, I have run my own business and worked as a team leader in corporate marketing. I decided to join Kelly full time at Roots in 2023, and am so happy to meet new patients and welcome them to our practice.
I predominantly work behind the scenes on our marketing content, but I am out and about for the Simpsonville farmers market, as well as any in-person marketing events. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Massage Therapy Partners
Mackenzie Thoma, LMT, CMLDT, has been a massage therapist since 2018, originally trained at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York. She has an educational background in Clinical Health Studies as well as a Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition, with a special interest in intuitive eating and body positivity through the Health at Every Size movement. Her work is grounded in science and a deep respect for the body’s innate healing abilities.
Her path has always been shaped by a passion for wellness. Even as a child, she was fascinated by how nutrition and lifestyle affect how we feel and function. That curiosity became a lifelong pursuit that ultimately led her to specialize in lymphatic massage. After years of practicing therapeutic massage, Mackenzie felt compelled to make a more profound and lasting impact on people’s health. Her approach integrates gentle, evidence-based manual lymphatic drainage, using the Vodder Technique, along with holistic wellness recommendations. These recommendations may include lymphatic self-massage, movement, mindfulness meditation, and nutritional advice to support the body’s natural detoxification and healing processes. With years of hands-on experience, she brings an intuitive, responsive approach to every session, tailoring her work to each person’s needs with care and attentiveness. Clients often leave feeling lighter and healthier, with a renewed motivation to embrace positive wellness habits. Many also experience lasting relief from pain and swelling that exceeds the results of typical therapeutic massage.
It's important to Mackenzie that every client feels welcomed, respected, and safe, regardless of disability, skin color, sexuality, gender identity, age, or body size. Her practice is rooted in compassion, clinical skill, and the belief that healing happens best in an environment of acceptance and trust. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, navigating lymphedema or swelling, or simply seeking to feel more balanced and at home in their body, Mackenzie is dedicated to supporting each person’s unique journey.
